What this site is
GBPUSD.net is a single-minded resource devoted to one of the world’s most important currency pairs: the British pound against the US dollar — “Cable”. We bring together a live exchange rate, a free two-way converter, interactive charts, and in-depth, jargon-free explanations of the two currencies and the forces that move them.
Our approach
We aim for clarity over hype. There are no get-rich-quick claims, no signal services and no price predictions dressed up as certainty. Every guide is written to genuinely explain something — how a rate is quoted, why your bank charges more than the headline figure, what actually drives the pound against the dollar — so that you leave understanding the topic, not just having seen an advert.
Where our data comes from
Headline and historical exchange rates are drawn from an open, publicly-available exchange-rate data feed and represent indicative mid-market figures — the midpoint of the wholesale market, not a price you can personally transact at. The interactive price charts and technical summaries are provided by TradingView. Rates are for general information only; for an actual transaction always check the live dealing rate with your provider.
Independence
GBPUSD.net is an independent information site. We do not sell currency, execute transfers, or act as a broker. Where we describe types of providers (banks, specialist transfer services, bureaux de change) we do so generically to help you compare; we do not endorse specific companies. The site may carry advertising or display ads served by third parties, which does not influence our editorial content.
